Executive Chairman, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Wahab Alawiye-King, has said education is the only tool to fight poverty, saying government must give its best towards education of its people. Alawiye-King, who spoke at the 60th birthday and retirement ceremony of a director at the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Dr. Ngozi Achodo, noted that for national development to occur, there must be personal development. xAchodo, in her remarks, said her love for children informed her decision to be a teacher. “Teaching has been a career I love so much and this is because of my love for children. “When we started, the salary was poor but when one is doing something out of love, the blessing of God will come,” she stated.
